I was poking around Wikipedia this weekend and clicked on the link for the Protests in Myanmar. This article has up to date information on what is happening. There are links to the various videos taken from those in the country. This weekend, the government shut down cell and internet services in an attempt to keep the rest of the world in the dark about what’s happening.

Despite all these actions, information is still getting out. As I read through several reports on the BBC, I noticed this at the end of the article.

Are you in the area? Are you affected by the events in Burma? Send us your comments using the form below. When taking photos or filming please do not endanger yourself or others, take unnecessary risks or infringe any laws.

For the time being, the government seems to have quelled the protests. But there is a UN envoy in Myanmar and the government has detained over 4,000 monks. It seems like this is just a calm before another storm.
